Les Rièges

Tasting notes: Intense colour of a shiny ruby. The nose is fresh, with crystallized cherry, violet and fresh liquorice aromas. The attack is soft, the tannins are silky, the aromas are the same that the ones of the nose. The finish is persistent and soft.

Food pairing: grilled beef fillet, Camargue bull gardianne (a local type of en daube), Chateaubriand, unpasteurised Brie, 18-month matured Cantal, chocolate soufflé.

Nature without sulfides

Tasting notes: Deep red colour with violet glints. The nose shows notes of black fruits like blackberries, and these aromas are even more present once in mouth. The tannins are soft and delightful. Fresh final on liquorice hints

Tasting notes: Fine bright ruby colour. The nose is delicate, blackcurrant bud. The mouth is round with silky tannins, aromas of violets and blackcurrant mixing. The finish lingers with notes of liquorice.

Food pairing: grilled beef, roast lamb, cold meats, and goats’ cheese.

Mas de Valériole is located within an outstanding territory: the Camargue Regional Nature Park, in Provence.

The MICHEL family will be happy to welcome you in the heart of this preserved nature.

Mas de Valériole bears the name of the mas’ founder in 1426: François de Vallériole, a doctor from Arles. Valériole is a family story, that of the MICHEL family who settled here in the late 50’s and today,  three generations later and still living under the same roof, remains fonder of it than ever.

The two brothers, Jean-Paul and Patrick, share the tasks: Jean-Paul is in charge of growing wheat, sunflower and rice; Patrick is the wine-grower.

Soon the children – fate had it that there are only boys (for the time being…) – will be taking over...
