Harvest: Manual during first ten days of September
Vinification technique: Freshly harvested grapes are brought to the winery where they are immediately destemmed and pressed and sends directly in soft press; the must after a few analytical assessments (reducing sugar, acidity, ph, tartaric and malic acid) is worked with a slight clarification given by lavering the temperature to 10°C for a period of 6 to 8 hours; the must is decanted to clean scum coarse precipitated such action of cold and is carried in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15°C for alcoholic fermentation; after fermentation, is placed in a tank before bottling.
Colour: Straw yellow with greenish hints
Alcohol content: 12%
Suggestions: Perfect as an aperitif, excellent with first and second courses with fish or shellfish or with special soups; also perfect as a table wine

Tenuta Marano is a young company born in the land of Salento, in the Guagnano district, near Lecce. Guagnano is the symbol and the heart of "the land of Negroamaro", territory of the origin of the excellent red wine that has registered a lot of approval in these years. With its cultural and historical background, the magical landscapes, rich of tradition, the moderate climate and the lush vegetation, this side of Puglia represents a unique combination of the wine and food excellence of the area.

The origins
The company is born in "contrada Scalera", thanks to an act of love for this territory accomplished by the entrepreneur Salvatore Marano, that recalls his family memories, with whom, when he was a child passed happily Days of wine, with the smell of grapes of these grounds and of these memorable places. The most important mission of Tenuta Marano is to product an high grade of wine, and to guarantee the qualitative distinctiveness through certificated processes and meticulous controls, always respecting the environment, in these lands of the North Salento-historically ones of the most important in Italy for the different species of wine.
