The farm "Villa Silvia", property of the Salvadori family, is inside wine business since 1930 when, after the Second World War, the founder Cesare Salvadori decided to dedicate his life working with wine.
His sons, Bruno and Filippo, continued his activity and increased it trying to get better the wine quality and teaching their sons the knowledges they learned from the father.
Now the farm is directed by Bruno Salvadori who controls the production, his wife Giuliana who cares the administrative matters, his son Francesco, graduated in enology at the Florence University and his son, Silvia.
Today they have a huge choice of products d.o.c.g. (provenience controlled and guaranteed) and i.g.t (typical geographic provenience): Chianti, Chianti Classico, Toscano rosso e bianco i.g.t., Orvieto Classico, Vernaccia di S. Gimignano.
The farm is located in the Chianti production area on the hills close to Vinci, Leonardo's city; this area is famous worldwide for its beauties, nature, art culture and its great wines. The farm is modern but also very connected to the traditions. It can produce over 5 milions of bottles in a year.
The ground in this area is very rocky, for this reasons it's poor of nutritive elements but it's perfect for the production of complex wines, with tasty, salty, fresh and armonic flavour.
