2013 FLINCH Reserve Merlot, Napa Valley

FLINCH was created to showcase small lots of truly exceptional fruit crafted into wines abundant in FLavor, INtensity and CHaracter.
Our debut vintage is a classically styled Napa Valley Merlot. The 2013 harvest began early and ended the last week of October, almost three weeks earlier than is typical for the area. Growers and winemakers agree that the fruit quality was phenomenal, rivaling or even surpassing the outstanding 2012 vintage.

2015 Rhiannon Red

The Goddess Rhiannon is a figure of power and
mystery in Celtic mythology, associated with magical
birds and horses, and the contrasting qualities of
change and steadfastness.

Crafting a distinctive blend, likewise, balances change
and steadfastness: the uniqueness of each harvest must
consistently express the winemaker’s personal vision.
2015 is our 5th vintage of Rhiannon. The wine is a blend
of Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Barbera. Complex yet
approachable in style, our California Red Wine expresses
elegant red fruit flavors and toasty oak notes.

Three Generations Committed to 100% Sustainable Viticulture and the Crafting of Fine Wines.

Three Generations Committed to Sustainability and the Crafting of Fine Wines

Growing premium grapes has been a tradition in our family for the past fifty years. For three generations we have explored and cultivated some of our state’s finest vineyards and farmlands resulting in a portfolio of wines that represents the rich diversity of California’s outstanding appellations.

Today, that portfolio includes Rutherford Ranch Winery, Scott Family Estate, Predator Wines, Lander-Jenkins Wines, Rhiannon, Silver Buckle, Round Hill and extensive Private Label offerings.

Along with our dedication to family owned and family farmed, we are also committed to sustainably farming, producing and bottling our wines. Our Rutherford Ranch Winery and estate vineyards are certified sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. We know that responsible farming is good for the land, good for the grapes and ultimately good for the wine.

Our winemaking philosophies have been critically acclaimed nationwide, including best values from Robert Parker, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator and Decanter Magazine. In addition, Rutherford Ranch Winery was named 'Napa Winery of the Year' at the 2013 New York International Wine Competition.

Every harvest brings us new knowledge and understanding to apply and fine tune our growing and production process which, we feel, reflects in our wines and their purity of flavor distinct to their site.
