ORIGIN: Vayots Dzor and Armavir Regions
GRAPE: A blend of Areni 50% (Vayots Dzor), Cabernet Sauvignon 25% and Merlot 25% (Armavir)
HARVEST DATE: End September, beginning October
CLIMATE: Continental climate. Vineyards are situated at an altitude of 1.200 - 1.500 m a. s. l.
VITICULTURAL FACTS: Average of 6 tons / hectare of grapes production.
WINEMAKING: Hand harvested in small boxes. Last strict sorting on a selection table at the grapes reception. Two weeks alcoholic fermentation and maceration with temperature between 26 to 28C in stainless steel tank. Natural malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank.
AGEING: 12 months in French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Pepper nose, dense, powerful, with melted spices. Slice of quince. The palate is soft, with peach taste, vine, and quince. A Bordeaux style, fresh and elegant.
EXAMPLES OF SIDE DISHES: Filet of beef, pork tenderloin, gorgonzola.
IDEAL TEMPERATURE: Serve between 15 to 16°C
