WINEMAKING
1. Grapes de-stemming
2. Maceration of the skins for 24 hours at a temperature of 16ºC
3. Draining of the tank obtaining the must
4. Fermentation in stainles steel tanks at controlled temperature of 17ºC
5. Clarification and filtering
6. Stabilization by cold and bottling
7. Labelling and dispatch

COLOUR. Salmon pale pink, brilliant and very atractive
AROMA. Fresh, sweet and intense, with subtle vegetable notes. Fruit flavours of strawberry, raspberry and currant
TASTE. Perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, with a slightly bitter end

DRINKING TEMPERATURE. 12-14ºC
FOOD PAIRING. Salted fishes, different rices, mixed and grilled vegetables. Ideal for Asian food

COLOUR. Greenish yellow, clean and bright
AROMA. Very intense and fresh. Hints of stone fruits such as white and flat peach, combined with tropical fruits (passion fruit and mango) and light citrus undertones. White flowers (jasmine, lily and magnolia) aromas at the end
TASTE. Complex, intense, with a well balanced acidity. Long aftertaste with fruity notes mixed with a light bitter end

DRINKING TEMPERATURE. 12-14ºC
FOOD PAIRING. Grilled fish, seafood, salads, rice and white meats. Ideal as an aperitif

VINEYARDS AVERAGE AGE.  50 years old
VINEYARDS AVERAGE HARVESTING PRODUCTION.  4.000 kg/Ha
ALCOHOL.  14% alc/vol

WINEMAKING
1. Grapes de-stemming
2. Pre-fermentative cold maceration at 15ºC for 4 days
3. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (28ºC) for 22 days. Punching down and overpumping twice a day for an hour
4. Post-fermentative maceration with skins for 18 days
5. Natural malolactic fermantion for 42 days in new 225L barrels
6. Ageing in 225L. new french (85%) and american (15%) oak barrels for 14 months
7. Natural clarification inside their own barrels and barrel racking quarterly
8. Bottling without filtering (it may appear sediments)
9.  Ageing in bottle at least 18 months
10. Labelling and dispatch

COLOUR.  Brilliant ruby-red colour, High cloak and little colour development
AROMA.  Very intense aromas of blackcurrant and ripe fruits (strawberries, blackberries and plums) with spices hints and creamy notes from the toasted oak
TASTE.  Wide, tasty and well-balanced wine. Long, creamy and baslsamic end

DRINKING TEMPERATURE.  17ºC
FOOD PAIRING.  Stews, grilled and red meats, cured

A longstanding tradition of 7 generations dedicated to winemaking guarantees the savoir faire of BODEGAS D. MATEOS.Its privileged winegrowing location gives the grapes exceptional features that are reflected in the final wine.

This characteristic, united with the family?s dedication throughout the entire cycle, during which grapes are rigorously selected and then individually processed, produces a UNIQUE, PERSONAL WINE.

Bodegas Mateos has many plots of land in the municipalities of Aldeanueva de Ebro, Alfaro, Autol and Rincón de Soto, which amount to approximately 100 hectares in vineyards. The main estates are El Salobral, El Bosquil and El Coscojar due to their influence on the final wines.

We also own the Los Quemaos estate, which is unique as White Tempranillo grapes are grown there.
