Primum Familiae Vini, PFV
The "Leading Wine Families”
A family concern
Primum Familiae Vini, also known as PFV, is an international association of some of the world's finest wine producing families from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain, the "Leading Wine Families”.
PFV was created in 1992 and membership is by invitation only, with a maximum of 12 highly respected families contributing generations of expertise. PFV members aim to defend and promote the traditions and values of family owned wine companies, and ensure that such ideals survive and prosper for future generations.
A Shared Pursuit of Excellence
A single ambition unites all the members: a passion for the pursuit of excellence. And this passion enables them, using their collective expertise, to create the next generation of fine wines.
With the mutual trust and friendship that has grown out of PFV, members of different generations exchange frank views on a wide range of matters affecting the family-owned wine businesses. The PFV also educates and train the younger generations.
What they learn from each other gives each member valuable guidance in the great task of carrying a family business through to future generations. It also confirms that they all have a strong ethic in the management of their business and respect their customers.
