Nizza docg - Ceppi Vecchi - NEW APPELLATION!
Nizza docg is a Barbera d’Asti Superiore produced in a restricted area including 18 municipalities around Nizza Monferrato, considered the area of excellence for Barbera d’Asti production. Since vintage 2014 (available from 1st July 2016), this subzone has received its own appellation: Nizza Docg, the geographic name substitutes the grape variety: tradition, culture and unique terroir merged in a short distinguish name.
Ceppi vecchi is the gift offered by the old vineyards, carefully selected, on the best hills in Nizza’s delimited area. Maturation for 12 months in French-oak barrels and a final ageing in the bottle for at least six months give wonderful garnet red reflexes to this wine. A well balanced and never aggressive bouquet, reveal ripe fruit, liquorice and vanilla sensations.
A great wine for roast meat and game. Recommended serving between 18°-20°C.
