BARBARESCO RIZZI "BOITO"

The Wine Barbaresco “Boito” is born from the selection of the best grapes product in the vineyard Bricco Boito - Vigna Grande del Boito, in the upper part of the big Crü Rizzi. The exposition of this vineyard is south, south-west and just before the Cascina Rizzi, where Rizzi winery is located, the slope turns to face southwards. The soil composition of this vineyard is characterized by white marl clayey- calcareous. It’s a deep soil with a clay vein that cuts within the whole hill, and that gives this wine great elegance, tannic structure, inimitable perfumes and great longevity.

BARBARESCO NERVO "Fondetta"

The vineyard Fondetta is situated under the village of Treiso, it represent the continuity with the great vine-clad hill of Rizzi and it’s the meeting point of two most important Crüs of Barbaresco (Bernardot and Nervo, who belong). Everything conspires to make this, one of the finest vineyards in the entire Barbaresco area. First at all, the vines enjoy a perfect south-facing location, with heights above sea level that range from 310 to 370 metres. In addition, the very steep slope makes work in the vineyard difficult and even dangerous, but it also improves drainage and, above all, ensure greater exposure to sunlight. Finally, this idyllic picture is completed by the soil composition, which is a very unfertile white marl that manages to imbue the grapes with elegance and power in equal measure.

About us

Company details
