In the lands which at one time belonged to the ancient Papadopoli family from Crete, a winegrowing tradition has grown up over the centuries filled with a rich history that the generous lands of the Piave have nourished and man has nurtured over the years.
The Peruzzetto family is tied to these lands by a strong bond that has passed through the generations. As a result they have made this Casa Roma, the old country house bought as the result of much hard work and sacrifice, the centre and beginning of a new vision for local wine growing.
Luigi Peruzzetto is the man behind this renaissance. His bond to the land has driven him in his constant desire to bring out the true value of the most authentic resources and achieve some truly excellent results. This is above all true with Malanotte, his Raboso Piave, a native variety from the Province of Treviso – known locally as the Marca – which now boasts DOCG classification, and his Incrocio Manzoni Bianco. The aim is to distribute these local wines far and wide and so to produce international wines of the highest quality.
