Domaine la Barroche has been passed through the family from generation to generation since the 14th century. It extends over 37 acres all located within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, mainly in the North area and is made up of several parcels on sandy soils in a large proportion and on red clay soils with large pebbles. The average age of the vines is 65 years old and nearly 50% is planted with 100 years old Grenache. The viticulture is made with great respect of the vine in its environment: we use only organic fertilizers, harvest the fruit by hand, and meticulously select our grapes. The wine-making gives priority to gentle extraction methods and long, careful aging. The wines are silky, exhibiting both freshness and finesse.
