One of the most elegant wines of our portoflio.
30 years is the minimum aging for fine Amontillado at our winery. Great intensity with an explosion of nut, dried fruit and leather aromas and an endless finish. Alcoholic degree is obtained solely through natural fermentation and long aging.

Amontillado Selección 1951

A rare, single-vintage Amontillado produced with Pedro Ximénez grapes.
An incredibly complex wine:  nicely sweet on the nose first, with intense aromas of walnuts and toasted hazelnuts, saline and bitter at the end, with a lingering finish evoking Fino wine.

Our Don PX 2014 is one of a kind!
As these early release wines are not barrel aged or blended, they are wonderfully pure, fresh, grapey examples of Pedro Ximénez and capture all the delicious tanginess of the style. The palate glows with concentrated toffee, caramel and dried fruit notes and finishes with a warm, lingering flourish. The finish seems to go on forever.

Don PX Gran Reserva 1987

This single-vintage wine showcases the classical aromas and palate of an old PX from Montilla. Strong notes of dark chocolate, dried figs and plums, as well as dense, thick and persistent palate. Extremely attractive with marked flavours that make this wine unique.
Defined as the Best Fortified by Mundus Vini and crowned with the Gold Medal at the IWC, it is a real shame if you don´t taste it!

Don PX Selección 1973

The 1973 Don PX Selección is part of a new range of more accessible old wines, not as extreme as the Convento series. The vineyards that produced these grapes do not exist today; they were on very soft marls soils. The dehydrated grapes fermented between 3% and 9% and then the wine was fortified and today bottled at 17%. It's somehow reminiscent of the 1987, very perfumed and aromatic, a little exotic, with even some minty notes. There are 16,000 liters of this wine, which is available in bottles and magnums. The palate is very concentrated, round, with an oily texture that fills your mouth. This is more elegant, but at the same time it's not as fresh as the 1987. T

Our roots go back to 1844, and, since 1922, we occupy Aguilar’s old power station, where we started introducing updated technologies and producing our "Fino Eléctrico". In 1970, we were the first Montilla producer to bottle Dessert Pedro Ximénez—a product historically sold in bulk to producers.
