The Cantina Sociale di Cesena is a cooperative established in 1933 as a mutual will of some winemakers to give a new identity to the winemaking process, and that could be able to express the values and the enological vocation at their best.
The philosophy followed by Cantina di Cesena was clear: a real innovation in Romagna’s viticulture that respected the terroir and the features of wines.
Day by day, the original pioneers’ dreams became a reality thanks to several projects and constant investments in the most innovative and modern wine production technologies. In 1988, the brand Tenuta Amalia joins Cantina di Cesena: this important acquisition allowed a further addition of quality wines.
Today, Cantina di Cesena has around 300 small wine producers that are associated with us and boasts of having an excellent production thanks to a modern and functional photovoltaic system, which is able to generate 100.000 kW each year, reducing harmful gases.
This environmental awareness is also confirmed by a certified production of organic wines and by the “ISO 9001″ certification, allowing Cantina di Cesena to be a leader in the manufacturing, transformation and preservation of the products supplied by our associates (direct farmers and cultivators).
We are direct manufacturers with over 80 years’ experience, monitoring the entire production chain, from the vineyard to the bottle. The grapes of our wine producers are harvested from high quality vineyards and are heterogeneous; these are the distinctive traits that distinguish us from all the other winemakers.
The dedicated distribution, the continuous improvement of the plantations and production increased the interest of new markets in our winery. As a matter of fact, Cantina di Cesena exports its excellences worldwide: a real challenge, nowadays like in the past, that we face with the same quality, innovation, responsibility and enthusiasm.
