VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO

About us

Company details

The story of our company begins in Trentino in Val d'Adige, where our family has always had a passion for wine making.

After the Second World War ended, our great grandfather Onorio started selling casks of homemade wine to the local public. In the sixties, thanks to the hard work, determination and business mindedness of Onorio's son, Vittorio, and with the help of Bruno, his brother, our winery in Serravalle all'Adige was born. The family vineyard became a philosophy of life.

In the seventies, encouraged by this success, our grandfather Vittorio bought some land in Veneto in the Bardolino wine area of Pastrengo. The love of the land and passion for wine was transmitted to Vittorio's son, Fulvio, newly qualified in Oenology. He helped build and run the new winery in Pastrengo. Over the years the company grew acquiring ever more skill and knowledge in the winemaking sector, concentrating on the quality of the product and specializing in the production of Bardolino and Chiaretto wine.

In 2001 a vine in the umbrian hills of Orvieto Classico became part of our estate. In 2006 the daughters Claudia and Giulia, qualified in Oenology and Agriculture respectively, became part of the company. In 2009 they established the new company name "Benazzoli", and for the first time started the bottling of a selection of their own wines. The daughters' philosophy is to recreate in the wines the flavour of the land where they came from, staying true to tradition and knowledge acquired.

Our aim is to continue in our grandfather's footsteps but with an eye on the future. True passion for wine and a constant desire for improvement make our company stand out from the rest.
