Soave Classico

Their liveliest and most youthful style from Soave Classico, the Pieropan family has been producing this wine since the early 1900’s. Generous, pleasingly fresh and versatile, it is made from the traditional varieties of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grown in family- owned vineyards situated in the Soave Classico zone.

Ruberpan

Ruberpan Valpolicella Superiore was launched in 2003 from grapes grown on vineyards in Cellore d’Illasi, on the slopes of mount Garzon, 500m above sea level. The new winery is in the famous Villa Cipolla Pieropan in Tregnago Verona. The name Ruberpan comes from the Latin, ‘Ruber’ which means ruby red, and Pan from the Pieropan family.

Amarone Vigna Garzon

Amarone, synonymous with Valpolicella, is a new and exciting challenge for the Pieropan estate and was born from a desire to see if the Cellore d’Illasi vineyards could compete with the unique terroir of Valpolicella. The Amarone is the realisation of the family’s dream to produce a powerful red wine, rich and structured but with the characteristic Pieropan balance, elegance and finesse.

About us

Company details

History
The Pieropan business was founded in 1880 in the heart of the medieval village of Soave, in the historic Palazzo Pullici. Four generations marked the history of the company, each with their own contributions which varied according to the times, knowledge and entrepreneurial attitude.

The historical building
The wine business started with Leonildo, physician of Soave, who was driven by knowledge in biology and chemistry and began working in the family vineyards and whose work in the cellars was carried on by his sons, Fausto and Gustavo who worked with infinite passion.

Gustavo Pieropan
Gustavo was deeply dedicated to the handcrafted activities in the cellar. 1884-1964

Fausto Pieropan with wife Alice
In the years 50's-60's all the production process was done by hand. 1898-1990

Family
The intertwining of vines continues to be the lifeblood that fuels the Pieropan style and mission. The first fifth-generation leaflets have already blossomed, fuelled by deep roots and solid, well established branches... The future looks hopeful and bright.
