Soave DOC “Campo Base”

The name of the wine says “Base”, because everything starts from here!

From the delicate elegance of Garganega grapes we obtain this Soave wine very stylish and pleasant.

A wine with an intense aroma of white flowers, soft in the mouth, delicate and characterized by a slightly bitter finish.
Freshness and flavor give this wine a youthful drinkability and makes it excellent as aperitif wine or paired with dishes based on fish. Also recommended with mild cheeses, fresh and creamy.

Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC “Campo Ciotoli”

The pebbles left trough the millennia by the Progno river originated the stony soil where we grow our Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso vines.

This wine is a product of total elegance that comes from a wise use of the traditional Ripasso technique which allows it to preserve and develop its natural qualities of pleasantness and structure longer in time.

A nice overall balance makes it particularly drinkable with a modern and sinuous style.

Ideal for meat appetizers and cheeses with average aromatic or spicy character.

Excellent with raw meat, sliced beef and classical red meat steaks.

Amarone della Valpolicella DOC “Campo Marna Cinquecento”

The top end of our production is produced at 550 m. a. s. l. on a marly fossil ground.

It has extremely deep ruby color, almost impenetrable.
Very intense and persistent to the nose and palate; scent of small red forest fruit such as raspberry, wild strawberry, redcurrant. Pleasant cherry notes and spicy tertiary aromas are harmoniously combined to the complexity of this iconic wine.

The tannins are already “softened”, but with no doubt they can still promise a very long life.

It would be certainly interesting (and deserving) to stand for a tasting in a few years.
Austere and imposing wine but always nice and elegant, a true champion!

About us

Company details

Flavio Prà has the leading role in this new winery. Flavio is a young Veronese wine-maker who collaborates as consultant with some of the most important Italian wineries.

Flavio’s approach to wine is to research the essence of the grape variety and understand how its character can be clearly expressed. His style lead to a winemaking that does not overshadow the natural potential of the wine, which is respectfully expressed to its full capacity.

With great care he chooses the vineyards, or “fields” which are suitable for the production of high quality grapes. This is also where the name of the winery come from, I Campi (meaning “the Fields”) describing just how it is the land which is the starting point.

After 15 years of hard work and experience, Flavio decided to set to work on a project of a “mountain winery”. This project gave Flavio the possibility of experimenting with new production and wine making methods which are able to extract the highest quality possible out of the grapes. The wines are created taking the starting point of the land, the soil, the climate and also the maturation potential of the grapes on that land.

MY ROOTS
Fourth generation of an historical family of winemakers, he started building on his understanding and research of viticulture and high quality winemaking right after completing his studies in oenology. This route coincides and evolves with his winemaker experience at important wineries in Veneto region and all Italy. Since he was young, Flavio makes his the family passion, characterized by respect for the vine and soil in which it is grown.

He now tries to pass down all this to his children….
