Gold Hill Red Wine and White Wine

1. Gold Hill 2013 Cabernet Franc
A medium to full-bodied red wine with nice cocoa, blackcurrant, herbaceous, and spicy notes with subtle hints of anise, pepper, and a lingering minerality. Tannins are soft yet inviting and will pair well with lighter cuts of meat such as pork or duck and soft cheeses like well-aged cheddar and aged asiago.

2. Gold Hill 2013 Meritage Family Reserve
--  Lieutenant Governor’s Award, British Columbia, 2016 --
This distinct red blends the royal varietals of Bordeaux. The wine is big and robust, with complex flavours and aromas of spice, floral, black currant, cherry, anise, hints of cocoa and vanilla. This full-bodied red has firm yet soft tannins with a smooth and creamy finish with long lingering notes of tobacco, vanilla, and berry fruits.

GRAPES:  40% MERLOT, 30% MALBEC, 30% CABERNET FRANC

3. Gold Hill 2015 Cabernet Merlot
Aromas of strawberry jam, cocoa and blueberries with subtle notes of vanilla and oak. This wine is a fruit forward easy to drink red wine for any occasion because of its short contact time with oak. It has soft tannins and rounded medium to full body structure with a nice balanced finish with berry, dates and cherry, and hints of earthiness.

4. Gold Hill 2015 Chardonnay
Cool fermented in stainless steel tanks to capture the essence of the fruit, this wine has delicate aromas of green and golden apples with accompanying notes of citrus, peach and pear. Nice balanced finish with a hint of honey and tropical notes. Enjoy with chicken, salads, or fish.

3. Bench 1775 Whistler 2015 Viognier Icewine
This rare icewine is made from Viognier grapes harvested at the peak of cold temperatures of -15 °C. The wine is rich in tropical fruit perfume and flavours of ripe apricots, guava, pineapple, and notes of Clementine orange zest. This perfectly balanced icewine has lively freshness which makes it a fantastic wine to drink in the summer paired with light lemony desserts, soft goat cheese, or icewine seared scallops.

White Goose White Wine

1. Wild Goose 2016 Riesling Wine
A Wild Goose “Classic” Circa 1984
This fruit forward Riesling comes from Estate grown grapes, including the  32 year old Wild Goose Vineyards, and the 10 year old Secrest Vineyards. Careful vineyard management and hand harvesting allows this wine to express not only the vines age but also the unique soil in which they grow. This wine can be cellared for 5-10 years, peaking around 3-5 years. With green apple, floral and honey on the nose, the flavours are influenced by bright citrus, apricot and an intense minerality. And as the vines age you will notice that the wine expresses more and more spice.

One of Canada’s most popular white blends, Autumn Gold is equal parts Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Blanc. The amazing fruit makes it the perfect wine to have on the patio with lots of good friends, or at traditional family gatherings where you are roasting a big bird!
