Castello di Brolio Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico Docg

Castello di Brolio is created from a meticulous selection of the best Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and petit Verdot grapes from the estate's vineyards, spread over 230 hectares of land. The production of each vintage may thus vary in quantity, but quality is always outstanding. The vineyards are at 250 to 450 m above sea level, facing south/south-west. The perfect exposure and excellent elevation of the land as well as the very stony soil are responsible for the typicality of this wine.

Brolio, Chianti Classico docg

Brolio successfully matches the superior drinkability that defines Chianti Classico in its young version with a full, complex structure, which makes this wine excellent in its category.
The company's vines, which rise from 280 to 480 meters above sea level, produce the grapes for the Brolio harvest. The lands vary much from one another, while sharing a gravelly composition.

Colledilà Gran Selezione. Single vineyard

"Colledilà" - the land which has been part of the Brolio estate for centuries - is the cru of this Chianti Classico DOCG that stands out due to its complex structure and great modern elegance. The research on original clones that has been carried out at Barone Ricasoli for the last fifteen years and the work on the specific characteristics of the various plots of land on the estate have now given rise to a single varietal Sangiovese which manifests the magnificent gifts of this grape variety. The limited volumes of the Colledilà cru render it all the more exclusive.

Casalferro. Single vineyard

Casalferro was first produced in 1993 upon Francesco Ricasoli’s arrival at the company, and since then inspired him to begin his research into modern methods. Produced only during the best years, Casalferro is a pure Merlot from the vineyard of the same name, a single plot of land, located at 400 m above sea level facing south-southeast. The soil is brown with a fine clay structure very chalky and little organic content.
