About us

Company details

The Grand Crus wines of MAS de DAUMAS GASSAC are made
exclusively from the magical terroir of the Gassac Valley : 52 small vineyard plots, organically farmed, hand harvested, each
surrounded by more than 1500 hectares of the magnificent wild
forest called the Garrigue in Aniane, France.
Since 1971, the Guibert family has planted over thirty non-cloned grape varieties on this unique terroir - red glacial soil for the red grape varieties and white Lutetian limestone for the white grape varieties. This soil has never suffered from the destructive use of modern chemical fertilizers as the land was manually farmed for hundreds of years before the Guibert family settled.
Low yields of only 37 hl per hectare help produce generous wines with great ageing potential.
The Daumas Gassac Grand Crus wines epitomize the family's
respect for nature and the free expression of the terroir of the
Gassac valley.
