SOIL AND SUB-SOIL : Alluvial soils with round stones and gravelly clay
GRAPE VARIETAL : 100% Malbec
TECHNICAL WORK : After destemming, the grapes are heated to 65°C for a 6-hour prefermentation maceration. After cooling, the grapes are put into barrel fermentation, the wine will stay on its skins for 45 days for a slow, optimal extraction.
AGEING : The wine will then age in these barrels for 12 months.
TASTING NOTES : The color of this wine is intense. The aromatic intensity of the wine is revealed with amplitude at the first whiff, preserved black fruit on the second sniff, with sublime floral notes, more precisely violets. The remarkable aromatic extraction is demonstrated with a rare silkiness on the palate. The flavors of Malbec are fully revealed, giving off subtle notes of violets. The extended contact between the wine and the oak from the beginning of vinification makes for a harmonious balance and a subtle toast. After being aged in barrel, the tannins are particularly smooth and refined.
COMMENTS : The wine must be decanted before tasting. Serve at 20°C
AGING POTENTIAL : 20 years
