AMARONE CLASSICO

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC

Amarone Classico Bertani is a timeless wine that expresses the unique style that Bertani has always dedicatedly pursued. It is a classic style that does not need to change because it is always up-to-date. Amarone is made from Corvina and Rondinella grapes grown in the Tenuta Novare  hills, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area, in vineyards devoted entirely to producing drying grapes. Bertani has been making Amarone Classico Bertani since 1958, it is the perfect harmony between time, nature and man: we devote all of our know-how and our passion to it, with a long waiting period and great care. The grapes are set aside to dry on the "aréle" (racks made from bamboo canes), according to the traditional production method. Fermentation in concrete and ageing in large barrels for at least six years give it a stable structure, making it one of the longest-lived red wines in the world.

AMARONE DELLA VALPANTENA

Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena DOCG

This wine comes from the hills of the Valpantena, the only “cru” subzone in the Valpolicella area. Bertani’s traditional devotion to producing Amarone is also found in this wine, a modern and balanced Amarone, but still authentic and rich in body. New fermentation technology and drying methods give balance and elegance to the wine’s exuberant fruity notes, blackberry flavour, hints of mint, sweet cherry and spicy notes that are typical of this valley.

SOAVE VINTAGE

Soave was one of the first Italian wines to be recognised as “typical and fine” already in 1931. Bertani’s Soave was the image of this wine in the world. With the Soave Vintage we would like to make it in the original way but also as a modern Soave: the colour is slightly more intense, the wine is fresh and crisp. Fine and elegant with aromatic notes of ripe fruit, peach and pear, with vegetal sensations reminiscent of sage, mint and elderflower.

Bertani Domains
Authentic by Nature

Bertani Domains is one of the most eminent groups in the Italian winemaking sector. It includes wineries, which not only have made winemaking history in their respective regions, but today they are highly-innovative business models on the international wine scene.
In fact, the supporting core of the daily activity of these wineries is to be found in the enhancement of the most authentic identity of the territories they are located in, and in the faithful interpretation of the suitability of the grape varieties.
Authenticity is the result of constant research and investment in the founding matrix of quality, i.e. the land and the vineyard.
These are wineries where the human factor and the skills of the different professionals have always been considered fundamental features for the growth of the Group, for the constant development of its winemaking supply and to also guarantee that ever-so-indispensable innovation.
But Bertani Domains, and all of its wineries, is also a group that straightaway took on the responsibility of being the leader in renewing the world of Italian wine, to become a reference point in the various territories it works in, in the pursuit of transparency and respect for what for too many years has been considered an obsolete concept: typicity.
The wineries in the group, starting with Bertani, have stood out through the years because they have never followed easy trends, but have always faced the market and consumers with their own authentic identity, convinced that this is the only way to guarantee a credible and respected representation in Italy and abroad.

Bertani Domains was founded on 1st January 2014, when all the Tenimenti Angelini farms and wineries - Val di Suga, Tre Rose and San Leonino in Tuscany and Puiatti in Friuli (since 15th March 2015 also Fazi Battaglia in the Marche region, editor's note) - were united and taken over by Cavaliere G.B. Bertani, the historic winery in Valpolicella, bought out the previous year. This new group was christened "Bertani Domains", but Bertani Domains has intentionally been left in brackets in the logo to indicate its role as custodian of the individual wineries.
