Balance Report: Exhibitors most pleased



Not only regarding the taste wine seems to be extremely varied - also origin, aroma and color, for example, are almost never the same. There is no better place than at the trade fair ProWein in Düsseldorf for experts to receive a real overview of what the wine industry has to offer. 3600 exhibitors, each usually presenting many more than one product, concentrated in one place - no wonder that the wine industry sees this event as a must.

Many facets of ecological wine growing



Our reporter Emily Whigham took a close look at organic wine growing at ProWein 2011 and had a lot to talk about: The label fair choice guides customers interested in social matters, the organisation demeter promotes biodynamic agriculture also in the wine segment and Riegel wine import has a lot of experience with oragnic vineyards since it has been marketing organic wines for more than 25 years.

A fine tequila distillery in Mexico has filled a bottle that probably will not change hands for any less than 2.5 million Euros. Prince William and Kate would be surprised, as a bottle of their wedding Champagne only costs a mere 165 euros. German TV legend Günther Jauch is more interested in the products of his own vineyard - from which the quiz master learns a lot, as he says.
