ProWein 2012 with New Record Figures and Innovative Impulses for the Sector

6 March saw the close of a very successful ProWein 2012 in Düsseldorf. Over its three days this leading fair for the international wine and spirits sector brought together 3,930 exhibitors from some 50 countries and considerably more than 40,000 trade visitors from throughout the world.

This once again meant even more sectoral experts meeting for cross-border business and discussions than at the 2011 event (3,635 exhibitors, 39,034 visitors). Growth on the supply side here was reflected in all regions of the world – such as France, Argentina, Australia and China. It was also once again particularly pleasing to see the disproportionate rise in the number of international trade visitors coming from all the relevant wine import markets around the world.
