He is famous as The Count of Monte Cristo, as Obelix and as the star of more than another 170 movies. However, few will have known Gérard Depardieu so far as a serious winegrower. At ProWein in Duesseldorf he is currently launching his latest brand of sparkling wine, a Brut de Loire. It is a true world premiere, something very different from the habitual red carpets.
