More than 4.800 exhibitors from 47 countries came to Düsseldorf to present their wide range of classic wine making and contemporary alcohol production. And in addition to the representative growing areas, more unusual regions such as Croatia are becoming more and more important.

In wine there is truth and the label says it all – at least it should. But vintners and wineries usually only have as little as a few inches of paper to win over the buyers. The market is supplied by design agencies – the traditional craft is hardly acknowledged anymore. But they are still out there: the ‘old school’ artists. We went to visit one of the last German label creators to find out how good design comes to good wines.
