Trade fair double pack in Germany every three years

The two international trade fairs rated No. 1 in their respective fields, PROWEIN in Düsseldorf and INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA in Stuttgart, are further expanding their marketing cooperation under the banner “The selection of Trade and Technology” and will be staged in succession every three years from 2010. From 21 to 28 March 2010, the two premier events will run consecutively as a double pack. For wine producers around the world, this means that within the space of a week, they can take advantage of PROWEIN, the International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits, as a first-class platform for successfully marketing their wines and directly thereafter move on to the other top event, INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA, the International Technology Trade Fair for Wine, Fruit and Fruit Juice to find out about the state of the art for producing their beverages.

Transparency, orientation and optimisation: As the leading international events for their industries, PROWEIN and INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA are both dedicated to striving for these goals in all aspects of their businesses. From March 2010 the Düsseldorf and Stuttgart trade fair companies will put together an offer to beat all others in the world. By introducing trade fair runs that will follow on from one another seamlessly every three years, they will put Germany on the map as the world’s premier trade fair platform for the global wine industry.

In this way, wine producers will not only be able to save a lot of time, money and effort but in Germany will benefit from compactly bundled and transparent knowledge transfer as well as excellent opportunities for forging contacts in the areas of retail, wholesale, marketing, sales and production that are unparalleled anywhere else in the world.

As a result of this combination, Germany will become a uniquely efficient platform for wine producers in 2010. Year in, year out, over 33,000 trade visitors from more than 40 countries meet with in excess of 3,000 international exhibitors in Düsseldorf. PROWEIN represents not only the meeting point for the who’s who of the entire wine and spirits industry, it’s also the venue for high-calibre symposia and panel discussions, tastings that go above and beyond, exclusive evening events as well as glamorous initiatives in cooperation with the city. At INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA, staged in Stuttgart every three years, the latest technologies for the production and marketing of wine, fruit and fruit juice are presented. Some 600 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors from around the world came together at this showcase of innovations for the latest edition in April 2007. These figures are set to grow strongly at the new Stuttgart fairgrounds located right next to the airport. A high-calibre, internationally oriented conference programme acts as the engine for innovation by facilitating the exchange of forward-looking information and opinions between representatives from academia, producers and the supplier industry.

In the international arena, the cooperation between the top fairs in Düsseldorf and Stuttgart has already proven a success. From 2004, PROWEIN and INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA have intensified their cooperation through joint initiatives in order to get the most out of existing synergies and offer wine producers around the world the maximum added value.

Due to INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA’s three-year cycle, the first time that the two events will be staged consecutively is March 2010. From 21 to 23 March 2010, PROWEIN in Düsseldorf will welcome the industry and will be followed seamlessly from 24 to 28 March by INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA’s run in Stuttgart.

The next edition of PROWEIN will open its doors in Düsseldorf from 29 to 31 March 2009.
