ProWein is the world’s leading trade fair for wine and spirits. No other industry exhibition in the world offers a comparable level of internationality, diversity of products and such professional surroundings for the trade in wines and spirits. The event in 2016 was the largest industry meeting worldwide and the most successful ProWein of all time.

Tasting areas

Numerous tasting areas with different focal points invited you to taste. In the central tasting area, the prizewinning wines of the MUNDUS VINI spring wine tasting were presented with an exquisite selection of around 500 awarded wines from all across the world.


Fizz Lounge

Highly aromatic, perfectly balanced but yet alcoholic light weights: Shim cocktails are changing the bar culture. This time, the FIZZZ Lounge concentrated on this latest trend in spirits and introduced the new and popular drinks.

Champagne Lounge

It was sparkling and stylish in the Champagne Lounge, in which more than 60 selected kinds of champagne from around 25 traditional champagne estates were presented. Another 150 brands of champagne were exhibited on an additional area of 600 squaremetres.

Same but different

At same but different, the focus was on creative marketing methods, which are “somewhat different” in a positive way and ensure stimulating conversations.

Packaging & Design

Wine labels, closures, packaging ... – professional wine marketing is becoming more and more important. The exhibition Packaging & Design showed the latest visual and haptic solutions.

ProWein Forum

At the stands or the ProWein Forum of the central presentation area, exhibitors passed on valuable information: Expert talked with well-known sommeliers, oenological specialist seminars, experience reports from renowned winegrowers and distillers – the large selection of events guaranteed the right programme for every interest.

Events in Düsseldorf

All of Düsseldorf was dedicated to ProWein: Popular Düsseldorf restaurants, wine shops and trendy bars participated in the motto “ProWein goes City” with tastings or imaginative wine menus. The corresponding offer in the city provided many options to pleasantly round off the trade fair day.
