Pre-phylloxera and Cuvée des Vieux Ceps

Benjamin Lewin MW, recently wrote (2015) in his Guide to 500 Leading Vineyards “Wines of France”:
“Denis Capmartin is the sixth generation to run this old family domain Château Barréjat, which has some of the oldest vines in France. Up to 200 years old, about 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, these pre-phylloxera vines are the basis for the


Cuvée des Vieux Ceps (a blend of 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet) and Cuvée de L’Extrême (best of the parcel of 100% old Tannat).
