Looking forward to ProWein 2015

Messe Düsseldorf is looking forward to the next ProWein from 15 to 17 March 2015. Preparations are in full swing, and the international wine industry continues to be upbeat about the event. “But we’re not the only ones who can look forward to the event. International visitors from the retail trade and the catering sector have every reason to be equally pleased,” says Michael Degen, Divisional Manager of Messe Düsseldorf and Director of ProWein. “The range of different wines and spirits is well-known for its enormous size, with products from all over the world. Next year they will be joined by a newcomer on the international wine scene: Bolivia.”

This is being facilitated by a programme of CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries), an Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. CBI has been working with 14 Bolivian wineries since 2013 and is supporting them in their endeavours to export to Europe. For some of the businesses participation in this leading international trade fair of the wine industry will be the highlight of the programme. They will be represented at a joint pavilion under the banner of the association Wines of Bolivia, in Hall 9, which they will share with other overseas nations and with Greece.

Filling nine exhibition halls, ProWein is set to present an unparalleled diversity of wines and spirits from all continents. The move of this leading trade fair into Halls 9 to 17 will mean that more space will be available next year. As in the past, the current level of bookings already confirms that this is an urgent requirement. Demand has been rising steadily among exhibitors for years, and so has the number of visitors. Over 5,000 exhibitors from around 50 countries are being expected. Also, there will be several wine tasting zones, mapping the wide spectrum of exhibitors under a variety of aspects. As well as numerous national line-ups – e.g. a choice of 100 top quality French wines, organised by Sopexa – there will be various compilations covering several countries of origin, e.g. the wine tasting zone of the International Wine Award MUNDUS VINI. This is where the winning wines of the MUNDUS VINI tasting session will be presented.

The online ticket shop will be open from November, offering discount entrance tickets.
