IBRAVIN - Instituto Brasileiro do Vinho Wines from Brazil
Invitation on the occasion of ProWein 2010
Berlin, March 2010
News from the New World: Brazil aims to conquer new markets. The fifth largest producer of wines in the southern hemisphere develops from exotic newcomer to trendsetter and achieves increasing international recognition
Dear Sir or Madam,
The wines of Brazil enjoy increasing international success. This success is due to the different activities organised by the export association “Wines from BRAZIL” set up by the Brazilian umbrella organisation IBRAVIN (Instituto Brasileiro do Vinho) with support of APEX-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, in 2002. Over this period, 39 wine manufacturers joined the Wines from BRAZIL initiative.
Wines from BRAZIL is represented at this year’s ProWein by 12 exhibitors who will be delighted to introduce you to their selection of top-quality wines. The Brazilian exhibitor’s list contains the small boutique-winery as well as the market leader in Brazil, “newcomers” in international business as well as traditionally export-oriented companies.
The quality of their wines leaves no wishes open. Since 1995 wines from Brazil have won more than 2098 prizes on the occasion of international competitions.
Between Rio Grande do Sul in the south and the northeast of the country thousands of kilometres away, for example the São Francisco valley, the fifth largest country of the world offers a wide variety of top-quality products. The São Francisco valley is, by the way, the world-wide largest tropical wine-growing area. Located at the 9th degree of latitude even two harvests are annually possible.
“Wines from BRAZIL” at ProWein, from 21st to 23rd March 2010, daily from 9 am to 6 pm, Hall 6, Stand L 21.
Andreia Gentilini will be waiting to greet you.
