In response to multiple requests from exhibitors, the INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA 2010 is to return to its original five-day duration. It will be staged from 24 to 28 March 2010. The event now includes a Sunday (28 March), giving exhibitors the opportunity to come into greater contact with important visitor target groups (small and medium-sized winegrowing and fruit-cultivation suppliers). There will be no change to the close level of cooperation with ProWein, the international trade fair for wine and spirits held in Düsseldorf. ProWein will take place immediately before IVIF (21 to 23 March 2010), enabling wine producers from overseas and other European countries to attend both trade fairs in a single visit – as exhibitors in Düsseldorf (ProWein) and visitors in Stuttgart (IVIF).
Extensive discussions with exhibitors in Stuttgart revealed that the majority of exhibitors were in favour of adding the Sunday to the IVIF trade fair. In doing so, the INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA 2010 returns to its original duration of five days. It had initially been planned to reduce the length of the trade fair by one day. In making this decision, however, the German Winegrowers’ Association and Messe Stuttgart are responding to the wishes of the majority of IVIF exhibitors.
