For the First Time at ProWein 2012: Traditional Arrack from Sri Lanka

More than 3,800 exhibitors from roughly 50 countries will present themselves from 4 to 6 March at ProWein 2012 in Düsseldorf, including more than 300 international spirits suppliers with a diverse portfolio.

ProWein visitors have the opportunity to discover fancy novelties, traditional classics and national specialties from a variety of countries – whether at the stands of international market leaders or those of smaller, specialised firms. Rockland Distilleries from Sri Lanka is participating this year for the first time and will be showcasing their traditional Arrack – a distilled alcoholic beverage made from palm sugar syrup. The Irish Food Board is also exhibiting for the first time, presenting various whiskey and liqueur suppliers. In addition to new exhibitors, ProWein 2012 also features highly interesting new products. The Ziegler distillery, for example, presents its new "Aureum 1865" whiskey to the international trade audience in Düsseldorf for the first time. Moreover, producers from Greece, France, Germany and Austria among others showcase organic spirits such as various fruit brandies. Cognac, Rum, Vodka and numerous other specialties round off the extensive spirit ranges on show at ProWein 2012.
