Labels can be tasted for six months, in 42 shops in 18 states. USA is one of the target markets of the sectorial export project Wines of Brasil.
Two Brazilian wines (Miolo Chardonnay and Perini Macaw Tannat) are among the selected labels for Flights and Flatbreads, action of the traditional restaurants chain Seasons 52 in the United States. The customer chooses one of three categories (whites, reds and acclaimed), each one with three labels. Tastes three wines and receives a full glass of the one he liked the most. The drink is followed by a flatbread with six stuffing options. The combos’ prices range from USD 15 (categories with Brazilian labels) to USD 20.
The wines were selected by the Master Sommelier George Miliotes, who works for Dardens Group, owner of Seasons 52.
The promotion continues until May 2015 in 42 stores distributed in 18 US states. The Brand Ambassador Daniel Marquez and representatives of the two wineries are visiting restaurants to train waiters and bartenders about the Brazilian wines.
"He (Miliotes) is very confident that the new category of Brazilian wines can achieve success in the US market. Seasons 52 is a high-level network, and the consumer is very interested in meeting new wines", said Marquez.
Roberta Pedreira, the manager of Wines of Brasil, a project developed by the Brazilian Wine Institute (Ibravin) in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion (Apex-Brasil), celebrates. Apart from the Flights and Flatbreads specific menu, the consumer will receive a card with the map of Brazil and its producing regions, as well as information about the wines produced in the country
