Bodegas Salentein won double Trophy at the Argentina Wine Awards

Bodegas Salentein won double Trophy at the Argentina Wine Awards with Portillo Malbec 2011 and with Salentein Single Vineyard Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2010

In the 6th edition of the most important international contest for Argentina’s wine industry, 12 international judges -all of them top winemakers- assessed 734 Argentine wines, of which only 18 were awarded a Trophy, the greatest distinction.

Portillo Malbec 2011 won the Trophy in the Malbec category between 7 and 13 USD retail and the new wine from Bodegas Salentein, the Salentein Single Vineyard Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2010 did it in the Dessert category between 20 and 30 USD retail.

Bodegas Salentein introduce Salentein Single Vineyard range, a limited edition wines from unique selected plots of their high altitude estates in Uco Valley

Bodegas Salentein, the pioneer winery in the Uco Valley, will introduce at ProWein its new range of Single Vineyard wines. The Knowledge of this cool climate terroir built up over almost two decades is the basis of these Single Vineyards who comes from small selected plots that over the years have offer outstanding wines with a strong personality and varietal expression that makes them unique.

Comes from the Plot N° 21 of Salentein’s La Pampa Estate, located at 1.300 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley.

SALENTEIN SINGLE VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2010
Comes from the Plot N° 1 of Salentein’s San Pablo Estate, located at 1.400 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley.

SALENTEIN SINGLE VINEYARD CHARDONNAY 2010
Comes from the Plot N°2 of Salentein’s San Pablo Estate, located at 1.605 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley.

SALENTEIN SINGLE VINEYARD LATE HARVEST SAUVIGNON BLANC 2010
Comes from the Plot N° 24 of Salentein’s La Pampa Estate, 1.235 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley.

Bodegas Callia to unveil new premium wine at ProWein

The award winning Argentinian Winery, Bodegas Callia, based in the Tulum Valley is launching its new Callia Reservado Bonarda at this year’s ProWein exhibition.
The Callia winery of the Salentein Family of Wines is based in the San Juan region made famous for its Shiraz production. The Bonarda variety has adapted to the region after several years of experimentation, and is now showing promise on an international scale.
